a red big ball 跟 a big red ball——中文人看起來都對，但母語者第一個會皺眉。英文形容詞有固定排序規則，名為 OSASCOMP（或 "Royal Order of Adjectives"）。違反排序，你的 Speaking 聽起來就是非母語者。

為什麼是 Taiwanese 特有錯誤

中文形容詞排序很鬆：「一個大的紅色的球」跟「一個紅色的大球」都可以。英文偏偏硬性規定：

❌ a red big ball ✅ a big red ball

學生從來沒被教過這條規則——因為母語者自己也不知道，純靠直覺。但你要 Band 7，就必須把直覺背成規則。

OSASCOMP 八字訣

兩形容詞常見組合

最常見的是兩個形容詞組合，記熟這些對 Speaking 幫助最大：

逗號要不要加？

同類形容詞之間加逗號，不同類之間不加：

  • a long, boring, difficult exam（三個都是 opinion / feeling → 逗號）
  • a tall young Japanese man（age, origin 不同類 → 無逗號）

測試法：能不能把 and 插進去？可以 = 同類 = 加逗號。 tall and young and Japanese 聽起來怪 → 不加逗號。
