Clerk (James): Good morning, welcome to Northbridge Bank. How can I help?

Yuki: Hi, I'd like to open a bank account, please. I'm a new student at the university.

James: Of course. Are you here on a student visa?

Yuki: Yes — I started my master's three weeks ago.

James: Lovely. Then a Student Account would suit you best. We have three account types overall. The Everyday Account is our standard adult one — there's a monthly fee of four pounds. The Student Account waives that fee and adds a small overdraft buffer of two hundred pounds. And our Premier Account is for higher earners — five-fifty a month, but with travel insurance bundled in.

Yuki: Student, please.

James: Right. Could I take your full name?

Yuki: Yuki Hashimoto. H-A-S-H-I-M-O-T-O.

James: Thank you. And your date of birth?

Yuki: The eighteenth of July, nineteen ninety-eight.

James: Now, your UK address?

Yuki: Twenty-two — sorry, twenty-eight Belgrave Crescent. B-E-L-G-R-A-V-E.

James: Twenty-eight Belgrave Crescent. And the postcode?

Yuki: NE4 7QH.

James: NE4 7QH. Lovely. And a phone number we can reach you on?

Yuki: 07845 — actually, hang on, I changed SIM last week — 07845 was the old one. The new one is 07901 332 564.

James: 07901 332 564. Thank you. Now, the Student Account comes with a debit card. Standard delivery takes seven working days, but for an extra five pounds we can post it next-day.

Yuki: I'll wait — standard's fine.

James: Right. Last things — international transfers. We charge two pounds per outgoing transfer to most countries. Japan is in our preferential corridor, so that's actually one pound fifty. Sorry — actually I need to correct that. As of this April, Japan transfers are now flat one pound. The leaflet hasn't been updated.

Yuki: That's good news.

James: And finally — how would you like statements? Paper, online, or both? Online-only is paperless and free; paper is one pound a month.

Yuki: Online, please. I prefer to save paper.

James: Excellent. I'll process the application now and your card will be at this address by next Tuesday.

  • 第 4、6、8 題都是 Part 1 經典「自我更正」：聽到 sorry / hang on / actually I need to correct that 立刻把前面寫的劃掉。
  • 第 8 題的「三層降價」：£2 → £1.50 → £1，每一層都用 actually / sorry 修正，最後一個版本才是答案。
  • 第 1 題帳戶類型干擾：Everyday、Student、Premier 三層帳戶，月費分別是 £4、免費、£5.50。題目只問 Yuki 選哪個，不要被月費數字帶偏。
  • 第 5 題英國郵遞區號：UK postcode 由「外碼 + 內碼」組成（NE4 + 7QH），中間有空格。字母 + 數字組合一定要逐字記。
