Tom (receptionist): Fitwell Gym, good afternoon.

Emma: Hi there, I'd like to ask about membership options, please.

Tom: Certainly. Are you an existing member or a new enquiry?

Emma: New. A friend recommended you — Claire Atkinson. She said there might be a referral discount?

Tom: Yes, members get ten percent off the first three months when they refer someone — I'll note her name down. Can I take yours?

Emma: It's Emma Fielding. F-I-E-L-D-I-N-G.

Tom: Lovely. And date of birth, for our records?

Emma: The fourteenth of April, nineteen ninety-three.

Tom: Fourteenth of April '93 — thank you. Now, we offer three main tiers. The Basic is thirty-five pounds a month and gives you gym access between six a.m. and ten p.m. The Plus is forty-nine pounds and adds all group classes. And the Premium is sixty-five pounds, which includes classes plus the swimming pool and sauna.

Emma: I'm mostly interested in classes — yoga especially. So Plus?

Tom: That would cover it. Yoga runs on Mondays at seven p.m., Wednesdays at six thirty, and Saturday mornings at nine.

Emma: Saturday morning sounds ideal.

Tom: You'll need to book online — classes fill up about three days in advance. Oh, and actually, I should mention — Saturday yoga has just moved to ten a.m. as of this month, not nine. The notice board's out of date.

Emma: Ten on Saturdays, got it. What about joining fee?

Tom: There's a one-off fee of twenty pounds, but it's waived if you sign up for twelve months upfront. The annual plan is five hundred and forty pounds — so roughly forty-five a month, saving you about fifty pounds over the year.

Emma: I'll go with the monthly for now, while I settle in.

Emma: Definitely word of mouth, through Claire.
