IELTS Listening 不只測聽力——更測抗陷阱能力。錄音只播一次、不能暫停,考官故意設計混淆訊息。本篇拆解三大陷阱 + 給你一套可帶進考場的筆記符號。
陷阱 1:說話者自我更正
這是最常見、殺傷力最大的陷阱。錄音中說話者會「改口」——你必須抓最後一個值。
範例對話
"So the property is at 15 Park Street — oh sorry, I'm looking at the wrong one — it's actually 50 Park Street. Let me double-check... yes, 50 Park Street, that's correct."
陷阱:第一次聽到 15 就抄下來——錯。 正解:最後定案的是 50 Park Street。

聽到這些——暫停抄寫,等下一個版本:

筆記技巧:聽到第一個值先寫鉛筆。聽到訊號詞後把第一個劃掉、寫新值。
陷阱 2:干擾數字
錄音中出現一串數字——但只有一個是答案。
範例
"My office address is 237 Oak Avenue. You can reach me on 0208 456 7189, although it's easier to use the mobile — that's 07734 829 516. The office rent is £1,250 per month, but with the service charge included it comes to £1,420."
題目可能是:Mobile phone number: ___ 或 Total monthly cost: £___
陷阱:隨便抓一個數字寫——可能抓到辦公室市話或基本租金。 正解:關鍵字定位。題目問 mobile → 跳過 0208... → 抓 07734 829 516。題目問 total → 跳過 £1,250 → 抓 £1,420。
對付干擾數字的動作
- 聽前:在題目空格旁寫 N(number)
- 聽時:聽到數字先全抄(鉛筆快寫,不判斷)
- 定位詞確認後:劃掉干擾,留下答案
陷阱 3:MCQ 的近義選項
四個選項中有兩個選項文字都出現在錄音裡——只有一個是答案。
範例題
題目:Why did the student decide to change her topic?
- A. Her supervisor suggested it.
- B. She found the original topic too broad.
- C. She became more interested in another area.
- D. There was not enough data available.
錄音:
"Initially I wanted to look at climate policy across ASEAN countries — but my supervisor pointed out it was just too big to handle in a masters thesis. So I narrowed it down to just Vietnam."
陷阱:聽到 "my supervisor pointed out" 就選 A。 正解:supervisor 只是提出問題,實際決定變更的是「題目太大」——答案是 B。
MCQ 近義選項的判斷標準

正確做法:聽完整段——抓因果關係 / 主要原因,不是抓關鍵字。

情境:兩位學生 Sarah, Tom 與教授討論小組報告題目。
原文(虛構、可信)
Professor: So Sarah, Tom — how are you thinking about structuring the presentation?
Sarah: We were going to do three sections, but Tom thinks two would be cleaner.
Tom: Yeah, I just think if we split it three ways, the middle section on methodology gets squeezed. Two big sections — background + findings — would let us develop each properly.
Professor: Hmm, but you do need methodology. It's 20% of your grade. Could you integrate it into the findings section?
Sarah: That could work. We'd open findings with a quick methodology recap.
Tom: I'd rather keep it as a short third section. Under 3 minutes, but distinct.
Professor: Either is fine — but whatever you decide, the methodology must be visible. Don't bury it.
