題目寫「at least 150 words」，很多考生就剛好寫 152 字交卷，覺得自己「達標」了。
結果通常是 5.5 或 6.0——不是因為扣字數分，是因為 150 字根本不夠展現你的英文。
為什麼 150 字是地板，不是目標
考官評 Task 1 看四件事：Task Achievement、Coherence、Lexical Resource、Grammatical Range。
150 字的範圍裡，你沒有空間：
- 完整 overview（至少要 2 句）
- 兩段 body 各帶 3-4 個數據比較
- 用到 whereas / while / in contrast 等對比連接詞
- 展現 significantly / approximately / a marginal increase 等學術詞彙
擠在 150 字裡，每個句子都被壓縮——最後看起來像中學生作業。
真正的目標：170-190 字
The line graph illustrates the proportion of households owning smartphones in three countries between 2010 and 2020. Overall, ownership rose sharply across all three nations, with the most dramatic growth occurring in Brazil. By 2020, smartphone ownership in all three countries had surpassed 70 percent.
光這個 overview 就 50 字。剩下 120 字寫兩段 body？會擠死。
字數 vs 分數（粗略對照）
- 150-160 字：天花板 6.0
- 170-190 字：6.5-7.0 的甜蜜點
- 200+ 字：開始失控、容易離題、文法錯誤增加
