台灣很多孩子 Flyers 考出五個 shield 全滿（等於 A2 水平），家長開心地讓孩子衝 KET——結果第一次考出了 level 2 成績（等於沒過）。

不是孩子退步。是兩個考試雖然同樣標 A2，本質完全不同。

四個關鍵差異

1. 閱讀的「陷阱題」開始出現

Flyers 的 reading 是直白的：看到關鍵字 → 選答案。

KET 不是。KET Part 3 會故意給三個選項，兩個看起來都對，但其中一個細節錯：

KET sample: Sam wanted to buy a blue bike but his dad thought it was too expensive. In the end, he bought a red one that was cheaper.

Q: What colour bike did Sam buy? (a) blue — mentioned, but only as what he wanted (b) red — correct (c) expensive — trap, it was the blue one that was expensive

Flyers 的孩子看到 blue bike 就選 blue；KET 要的是讀完整句、分辨 wanted 跟 bought 的差別。這是一個閱讀策略的大跳躍，不是詞彙的差別。

2. 寫作變成「產出」，不是「填空」

Flyers Writing Part 7 要寫一個 30 字的故事——基本上是把給的圖片描述出來。

KET Writing Part 7 是沒有圖的情境題——要從零寫一封 25-35 字的 email / note，內容必須回答三個指定的 bullet points。

評分標準從「有寫就給分」變成「沒回答到 bullet 就扣分」。

3. 時間壓力變一倍

看起來差不多？但 KET 的每一題平均文本長度是 Flyers 的 2-3 倍。實際上孩子是在同樣時間壓力下處理更多文字。

4. 聽力從「重播兩次 + 簡單句」變成「一次 + 多人對話」

Flyers 聽力會重播、說話者都是一個人、背景乾淨。

KET 聽力 Part 4 是兩個人的對話、可能有外國口音、速度明顯更快。很多 Flyers 滿 shield 的孩子在 KET 聽力掉最多分。

過渡期怎麼練？

第一個月：把 Flyers 的 9 個主題在 KET 的語境裡重做

例如 Flyers Unit 5 是 Jobs & People——用 relative clauses。到 KET 階段，同樣主題要加上：

  • somebody who works in a hospital → a doctor（descriptive definition）
  • past tense 的敘事：My uncle worked as a teacher for 20 years.
  • email 的套語：I'm writing to tell you about my cousin's job.

This is called "spiral curriculum" — you revisit the same topic at a higher level with richer language. Cambridge designed the YLE → KET bridge to work this way on purpose.

第二個月：做 KET Part 5 open cloze 每天 10 題

Part 5 的填空題是最能暴露文法漏洞的題型——沒有選項，要自己填 a / the / is / in / on 這類小字。台灣學生在這題平均掉 40% 的分。一天 10 題，一個月 300 題——比寫 30 套模擬題有效。

第三個月：每週寫一篇 25-35 字 email，有人批改

KET Writing 沒批改的練習等於沒練。可以請老師、補習班、或 ieltsyp 付費版本 ——每週一篇，老師親自批改，48 小時內回覆。

台灣常見的錯誤是「考過就衝下一級」。KET 建議等 4-6 個月，讓語言的廣度累積起來——不是考試技巧的問題。
