Weak ending: "...so yeah, I guess that's kind of what I think about it, um, sort of..."
Strong ending: "On the whole, I'd say the shift is overwhelmingly positive — although we'll need another decade of data to be sure."
不要 trail off。
或 "...so that's it."。
That's the end of the speaking test, thank you."
- Thanks — have a good day.
- Thanks, appreciate it.
- Thank you.
- Thank you so much! It was a pleasure!
- Did I pass?
- Sorry if I made mistakes.
Part 3
- On the whole, I'd say [X].
- So overall, my view is that [X].
- To sum up, I think [X], though [Y] is also worth considering.
1 — Concessive closer: "On balance, I'd say the benefits outweigh the risks — though I do think we need to be thoughtful about how it's implemented."
2 — Forward-looking closer: "So I'd expect this trend to continue, possibly even accelerate, as technology becomes cheaper."
3 — Philosophical closer: "Ultimately, I think it comes down to what a society values most — and different countries will reasonably reach different conclusions."
不要 trail off。
"Honestly, I'd need more time to think this through properly, but my initial reaction would be [any plausible view]."
這比 "I don't know, um, sorry..."
Try this
- 沒有 "yeah / I guess / um" 當結束?
Even if tired——裝也要裝出來。
