What do you do? Do you like your job?;Task

Some argue companies should allow all employees to work remotely full-time.

Universal remote working strikes me as a blunt answer to a genuine question about modern working conditions. The pandemic demonstrated that many white-collar roles can be performed from home without measurable loss of output, and the resulting flexibility has helped countless professionals strike a work-life balance that previously eluded them. Hybrid working arrangements — typically two or three days in the office — now appear to capture most of these gains while mitigating the isolation and reduced career progression that fully remote staff often report. A blanket right to work from home ignores the value of on-the-job training for junior colleagues, spontaneous mentoring, and the trust built through in-person encounter. Far better, in my view, is to grant each team genuine autonomy over its own pattern, subject to clear output expectations — flexibility that respects the work itself rather than imposing a single template.
