最大陷阱——"I like taking photos. I take many photos with my phone. I post them on Instagram."
I like taking photos with my phone——沒延伸。
Q1. Do you like taking photos?
I enjoy it, though I wouldn't call myself a photographer by any stretch — I mostly use my phone and rarely think about composition. What I genuinely like is the memory-capturing side of it: flipping back through my camera roll months later and being reminded of a meal or a view I'd otherwise have forgotten. That's more important to me than getting a pretty shot.
Q2. Do you prefer taking photos of people or scenery?
Scenery, by a wide margin — I'm hopeless at photographing people. I can never seem to catch a natural expression, and I tend to get self-conscious pointing a camera at a friend. Landscapes are kinder; they don't blink. I've got a whole folder of sunsets from the east coast and Yangmingshan at different times of year that I'll genuinely revisit.
Q3. Do you keep old photos?
I do, in two very different ways. Everything from my phone syncs automatically to cloud storage, so there's a massive digital archive I rarely actually look at. But I've also got a couple of proper photo albums from before smartphones — family trips, childhood birthdays — that I'll pull off the shelf once a year, usually around Chinese New Year. Those feel more precious, somehow.
Q4. Has photography changed with smartphones?
Completely — and in both directions, I'd say. On the positive side, absolutely everyone can now document their life, which is historically remarkable. On the negative side, the sheer volume means individual photos mean less; we take 50 shots of the same cup of coffee and actually look at none of them. Scarcity is what gave old photos their weight.
Q5. Do you like having your photo taken?
Honestly, not particularly — I've never been comfortable in front of a camera. I always feel like I look slightly wrong in photos, which I suspect everyone secretly thinks about themselves. I'll tolerate it for group shots and special occasions, but the volunteer photographer at events is very rarely going to be me holding up my hand.

Band 6 vs Band 7+ 對照
題目:Do you like taking photos?
Band 6: Yes, I like taking photos. I take many photos with my phone. I post them on Instagram.
Band 7+: I enjoy it, though I wouldn't call myself a photographer — I mostly use my phone and don't really think about composition. What I like is the memory-capturing side of it: scrolling back through my camera roll months later and being reminded of a view or a meal I'd otherwise have forgotten.
Band 7+ 有自我認知(not a photographer)、動機(memory-capturing)、時間感(months later)——從「喜歡」變成「為什麼喜歡」。
IG:"I post on Instagram" 快變成 Band 6 identifier。加一個不 post 的情境(for private memory rather than sharing)。
