I've been to many countries. It's very exciting."

Layer 1
Layer 2
Layer 3

Do you like travelling?"

Weak (Band 5 — 太概括): Yes, I love travelling. I've been to many places. It makes me happy.

Band 7+(放故事): Absolutely — it's probably my favourite thing to spend money on. The best trip I've taken recently was a two-week loop around northern Vietnam last September. I remember one afternoon in Sapa where we got completely lost on a rice-terrace trail, ended up drinking tea in a farmer's kitchen, and couldn't communicate except through pointing and laughing. That kind of accidental moment is why I travel.

關鍵是 "I remember one afternoon in Sapa..."

Do you prefer domestic or international travel?"

Band 7+: Honestly I've come round to loving both, but for different reasons. Domestic trips are what I default to when I just need a break — Taiwan has everything packed into a small island, so I can be in the mountains by breakfast. International travel is the opposite; it's for when I want that total disorientation. My last big trip was to Kyoto in spring — walking through the Philosopher's Path during cherry blossom season was genuinely one of those moments that justifies the cost of the plane ticket.

| 片語 | 中文 | 使用範例 | |------|------|---------| | off the beaten track | 遠離觀光客路線 | We stayed somewhere off the beaten track. | | wanderlust | 旅遊熱情 | I've had wanderlust since I was a kid. | | breathtaking | 壯觀的 | The views were absolutely breathtaking. | | bucket list | 人生清單 | Patagonia has been on my bucket list for years. | | get around | 走動、移動 | It's easy to get around by train. | | hop on a train | 跳上火車 | We hopped on a local train to the coast. |

I've had wanderlust as long as I can remember, so my bucket list is basically endless. My ideal trip is somewhere off the beaten track — breathtaking scenery, a place where you can get around easily by local transport, where you can just hop on a train and see where it takes you. That's the kind of trip I plan for now.

「Where would you like to go?」

不要答 "I want to go to America" 就結束——太平淡。

Band 7+: Patagonia's been on my bucket list for probably five years now. It's at the southern tip of South America, and from everything I've seen, it's the closest thing to pure wilderness I could actually reach. Giant glaciers, turquoise lakes, hiking for days without seeing anyone — that kind of thing. Realistically it's an expensive trip, so I'm slowly saving up, but I'd like to make it happen before I turn 30.

  • 現實考量(expensive, saving up
  • 時間目標(before I turn 30

"I've been to Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, the US..."

Out of everywhere I've been, Japan is probably where I've returned to most — four times now, and every visit I find another layer."

"I go to Japan. I see temple. I eat sushi." —

When I went to Japan last spring, I spent a whole afternoon wandering through the temples in Kyoto."(過去式 + 過去進行式)

"Yes I like travel. I go to Japan."

Layer 1 短答 + 框架(domestic/international, 單人/團體)
Layer 2
Layer 3
