- Hmm, let me think...
- Well, I'd say...
- Good question, actually.
- That's a tough one.
- Let me think about that for a moment.
- That's a good question, I'd say...
- Hmm, there are a few things to consider, but...
- I haven't thought about this in a while, but...
- It's not something I've considered before, but off the top of my head...
- That's a really interesting question — I suppose my first reaction would be...
- Hmm, I'd need to think carefully, but broadly speaking, I'd say...
Part 1 / 2 / 3
Part 1 — "Do you like cooking?" Hmm, let me think — yeah, actually I do enjoy it, especially on weekends when I've got more time...
Part 3 — "Why do you think people are cooking less than before?" That's a really interesting question. I haven't thought about this specifically, but I suppose the main reason is that modern workplaces demand longer hours, which leaves little energy for elaborate meals at home...
Too much: "Hmm, let me think, that's a really good question, actually, I've never thought about it, let me see, I guess I'd say..." Band 6。
Too little: (3-second pure silence) "I like it because it's nice." Band 6。
Try this
- Hmm, let me think...
- That's a good question, I'd say...
- It's not something I've considered before, but...
還有 "Let me see..."——可以但偏老派,年輕考生用 "Let me think about that" 比較好。
